"Create virtual units as if they were physical CDs and DVDs"
Daemon Tools Lite is a program that allows you to create virtual disc units that you can use to execute disk image files (ISO, CUE, CCD, etc.) on your computer exactly as if you were playing a physical disk like a CD or DVD. This is useful for creating backup copies of disks you own. Another excellent use for disk image files is reinstalling an operating system that’s gone kaput.
Other people will use these files to download software and burn it onto a physical disk, but this program allows you to mount the file virtually so you don’t have to waste physical CDs. If you have your heart set on burning an actual disk, you can at least use this program to ensure the disk image works before you waste time burning a bad file into a CD.
With Daemon Tools Lite, you can create up to 4 virtual disk drive to play disk image files. This helps you save time and money.
Windows 8 and Windows 10 automatically know how to virtually mount ISO files. However, if you have an older version of Windows or have other file types (CUE, MDX, MDS, MDF, CCD, CDI, BIN, APE, NRG, PDI, ISZ, B5T, B6T, BWT), you’ll need Daemon Tools to run them.
